How many Ounces in a Cup?

Liquid measuring cups define this question’s answer. Also, you can find the difference of US, UK, and other region measurement values.

1) As per US Recipe

1 US customary cup = 8 US fluid ounces
1 US customary cup = 8.327 UK fluid ounces

Note: 1 US cup = 236.59 mL

It means 1 US cup of liquid is equal to 8 US fluid ounces. Similarly, 1 US cup is equal to 8.327 UK fluid ounces.

In other words, it only works for US recipes. So, when you are following US recipe in the UK, then you have to count 8.327 fluid ounces.

Although in UK recipes it measures like below.

2) As per UK Recipe

1 UK imperial cup = 10 UK fluid ounces
1 UK imperial cup = 9.607 US fluid ounces

Note: 1 UK cup = 284.13 mL

3) Rest Countries
